What Is A Leader?

(a re-post)

God, I’ve been reading articles on theglobalconversation.com. I read that a country is now using religious laws as governing laws as well (that’s the best I can explain it. Clueless about politics). What I understand is that the whole country will be governed fully based on religious doctrines. And as You’ve explained, religion is based on rules and regulations that have been created by humans. And here’s the grey area–Humanity believes religious laws are based on holy messages that have been passed down to messengers by God. These laws are God’s laws. God’s rules and regulations. Now here is the scary part. Most of these laws discriminate women. So, I’m guessing it will be the women who will lose out in a country governed by religious laws. Here’s a word that keeps popping in my head as I’m typing all this: Regression.

Definition, child.

Regression is “the act of going back to a previous place or state; return or reversion.”

Why do you think your soul is shouting the word “regression” at you?

It’s protesting! I am a messenger for The New World. Wouldn’t You be protesting at this kind of regression to the old beliefs if You were a messenger working your butt off to bring everyone forward to The New World?

Yes, I would, child. But then here’s another side to the issue. Put yourself in the shoes of the leader of that country. You hear of a new movement that has caught on like wildfire somewhere else in the world. With the power of your technology such as the Internet, you know that pretty soon this new movement will also spread to the country you are ruling (if it hasn’t already). A new movement which promulgates freedom, free will and a no-rules-and-regulations way of life. As a leader, what do you think will go through your mind as you hear of what this new movement will be like?

I’m not sure. If You describe it only with those kind of words–

What kind of words?

Freedom, free will and no rules and regulations. Those are words that only scratch the surface of what The New Spirituality is all about. I mean, there is so, so much more to it than freedom, free will and no rules and regulations.

Alright. Let us say, as a leader those are the only information you have about The New Spirituality. That’s it. You do not even want to hear or read or research about it anymore. As in, you turn your back on this new movement without knowing exactly in depth what it entails, how it applies to the way of life now as you know it, how is it different from religion and other beliefs and so on and so forth. You do not even want a word about it mentioned in your presence. How would you feel about this new movement?

I guess, I’d be worried.

Why?

I would presume, assume that freedom, free will and no rules and regulations would wreak havoc, mayhem and chaos in my country.

Yes! Precisely! That is why you have regression. There are those who would turn to fear when they as much as hear or read the word “new” in any kind of label or name of a belief. The old is safe. While the new will always be received with fear or caution or not at all.

So what You’re saying is–the leaders of this country are now giving in to their fear. The fear of something new.

Not only new but something you have turned a blind eye to because you consider it a threat to your country. To your position as a leader.

Wouldn’t that be a drawback as well for the people of the country? Especially the women. Because these laws, from what I understand, are biased against our gender.

Of course. Not only for the people of that country but countries that may have dealings or relations with this country. While the rest of the countries in the world adapt (hopefully) to this new movement, this country who has closed itself by refusing to bend rules and regulations even a little, will have difficulty in their dealings. Not only on human relations, but economic relations as well. A country’s economy is run by humans, is it not?

Yes, of course. A country is its people.

And once a country is fully run based on a religion that has fear as its driving power, don’t you think its people and others who have dealings with it will also give in to their fears? Fear has many derivatives. Anger, greed, revenge, etc. These all come from fear. Do you think a country will prosper when they have fear in their laws?

Well, some laws are already based on fear. As in, if you kill someone with full intent you will be punished by incarceration or worse–death.

Are they working?

Um…

Have people stopped killing each other?

Um…

No, child. You are still killing each other.

I haven’t killed anyone!

I’m speaking in general.

I know. I’m just trying to lighten the mood. This subject is too heavy and too depressing to talk about. Can we–

Avoiding the problem or pretending the problem does not exist will not solve the problem. A leader is only as good as the people he or she is ruling. A leader is not a leader when only his opinion is obeyed. He is a tyrant. A despot. And he is only concerned with his position and his future. Which is no future at all. A country will only flourish when the people and its leaders work together as one. Meaning the laws are agreed upon by one and all that it is for the good of one and all. The laws should not only benefit the men, the women, the children, the aged, the rich, the poor, the leaders. But everyone. It may seem impossible as we talk about it like this, is it not? Already, there is negativity in that sentence. Remove the negativity. And the universe will comply. It is only impossible if you believe it is so.

Yup. I live by those words.

Why, child?

Because never would I have thought there would ever be a time when I would find out my truth. Find out who I really am. I know that there are those who still believe this is still not possible. Impossible, they say.

What is impossible?

That The New World is here. Now. It is happening now as I type this.

Like I said, child, nothing is impossible.

I know. That’s what I said!
