God, there’s this situation that’s been nagging at me for the past couple of days. There’s a friend I’ve been talking to often at Rene’s school whenever I’m waiting for him for school dismissal.
Yes. What’s the problem?
The problem is she seems to not want to pay me back for something that I bought for her upon her request.
How much was it?
Oh no. Don’t ask me that. It’s minimal.
Alright! It cost me six dollars and eighty cents, okay? And it’s not the cost – it’s the principle of the thing.
What does the word “principle” mean?
Why do you always do that? Ask me to look up the meaning of certain words when you know exactly what they mean.
I know what they mean. But do you?
Fine. The Oxford gives several meanings actually. One – “a fundamental truth or proposition serving as the foundation for belief or action.” Two – “a rule or belief governing one’s personal behaviour.” And three – “morally correct behaviour and attitudes.”
The key words there are “belief” and “morally.” It is the belief in your society that it is morally correct to pay back someone what you owe them. Now, when highly-evolved beings—
Oh no! Not those lot again! Please don’t tell me that I don’t have to force her to pay me back what she owes me.
That is exactly what I am telling you. Do not force her to do something she does not want to do. Do I force you to do something you do not want to do?
I give you guidance, my child, and a little persuasion maybe. But I do not force you to do anything. You have free will. Besides, whatever it is you think I “force” you to do – you do it because it is your soul’s purpose.
Loopholes! You always come up with loopholes to save yourself.
I will not be God if I didn’t.
So what are you saying? I should just forget about it? Just let it pass?
Did you tell her your truth?
Yes. I sent her a message reminding her of it – that she was the one who requested it.
Then leave it at that. Say nothing more about it. It is up to her now. Just wait and see what her soul does. Why doesn’t she want to pay you in the first place?
Well, because she noticed that I gave the same item to another friend for free. The thing is — I felt sorry for that person because I felt she needed it. She had a really bad complexion and I just wanted to help her out. After a couple of weeks her complexion was so much better and I felt so much better too. And that person didn’t request it. So now, maybe this friend of mine thinks I should give her the same item for free as well. But what I’m thinking is she doesn’t need the product — she has good complexion. And she requested it. I’m surprised she can’t even pay me six dollars and eighty cents when she can afford to have a tablet and an iPhone in her possession.
Try not to judge people based on their possessions. You do not know how hard they worked to earn the money to pay for them. Or what they went through to acquire what they own.
Sorry. So I suppose the moral of the story here is that I should act like God and let her free will decide?
A bit of advice. You actually already had a gut feeling that she was not what she seems to be – as in she could not be trusted, yes?
Well, yeah. Sort of.
Always trust your instinct. That is your soul’s way of giving you a warning about someone or about a situation.
So I suppose I shouldn’t have volunteered to buy it for her?
Do not let others take advantage of you. Be sure you are doing things for yourself and not to impress others.
Yeah. I guess I was trying to upkeep my image of a Good Samaritan.
Remember, once you care what others think of you, they own you.
I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you. So I guess I’ll just have to say goodbye to my six dollars and eighty cents?
It’s not the money! It’s the principle of—Oh… Never mind.
I know why I’m terrible at mathematics. It’s because I don’t need to look at the world through numbers. I have no need for mathematics in God’s kingdom. In God’s Kingdom everything is provided for and no one “dies”.
God has no money to count and I don’t need to count hours, days, months, years. God has given us life that is endless! And God’s Kingdom is right here, right now! All I have to do is just be – be a messenger, be a comforter, be a bringer of Light. Prioritize my soul and I will never need anything else. There will always be enough.
